2022 Richard Wilkie Scholarship Application

Magnolia West High School Band & Color Guard Booster Club has established senior scholarships in memory of former band director Richard Wilkie.  Funds will be given specifically for the senior scholarships and will be set aside for this purpose.

The 2019-2020 Magnolia West High School Band & Color Guard Booster Club has established the following guidelines regarding the Richard Wilkie Scholarship:

1. The Scholarship Committee, comprised of community and school leaders, will select scholarship recipients.  All scholarship applicants will remain anonymous to the Scholarship Committee.

2. The applicant must be a senior attending Magnolia West High School.

3. The applicant must be an active member of the Magnolia West Band or Color Guard as a senior.

4. The applicant must have been in band or color guard for at least three (3) years.

5. These scholarships will be distributed based on scores received on applications.

6. The scholarship recipient must pass all spring semester classes their senior year.  The scholarship will be revoked in the event that the recipient fails any spring semester class.

7. The scholarship recipients must provide the Magnolia West High School Band & Color Guard Booster Club all necessary information to demonstrate valid enrollment in an institution of higher learning.  This can be a university, community college, trade school, etc.  

8. Scholarships will be granted according to the amount allotted by the Band & Color Guard Booster Club Scholarship Fund through fundraising and donations during the school year.  Scholarship amounts may change each year. 

9. Automatic disqualification for any applicant who has accepted a full ride scholarship or who does not turn in all paperwork required with their application or has balance with booster or band.
